Position: Children’s and youth psychotherapist in the Georgian Center for Psychosocial and Medical Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (GCRT); trainer and consultant in the field of juvenile justice - UNICEF; expert and trainer on children and adults issues - PH International.

Research Interests:  Juvenile justice; prevention of anti-social behavior of adolescents; psycho trauma in children; violence against children and adolescents; children's rights.

Biography: Since 2005 Maia Tsiramua has been working at the Georgian Center for Psychosocial and Medical Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (GCRT). Maia was an expert on juvenile issues at the Public Defender’s National Preventive Mechanism. As an expert and a trainer she collaborates with various international agencies - UNICEF, World Vision, PH International, EU funded Project "Support to the Criminal Justice System Reform in Georgia" implemented by "Hulla & Co. Human Dynamics KG".
